All hail the champions

The double winners make their way by bus through the packed streets of Dortmund

China-bound Lucas Barrios (l.) and midfield star Shinji Kagawa show off the DFB Cup

It's an historic moment for Borussia Dortmund - their first ever league and cup double

The sunglasses may well be testimony as much to the long night behind them in Berlin as the sunny Sunday weather in the Ruhr district

The fans are out in force to greet their returning heroes - even if, in some cases, it's only out the window

Dortmund's Borsigplatz, where it all began for BVB 103 years ago, is packed to the gunnels of course

A crowd also gathers at Dortmund airport to welcome the squad back at first-hand

And here they come: Roman Weidenfeller (l.) has a safe pair of hands on the championship plate, while Sebastian Kehl is in charge of the DFB Cup

The keeper and skipper are understandably reluctant to let go of the silverware

Dr. Reinhard Rauball is on crutches at the moment - the BVB and League Association president strained an adductor muscle trying to escape a beer shower after the title-clinching victory over Mönchengladbach

At the town hall there's the traditional entry into the city's Golden Book - Jürgen Klopp (l.) presses the flesh with Dortmund mayor Ullrich Sierau here

The night before, at the post-match party in Berlin's E-Werk - Kehl (l.) and Weidenfeller have at least swapped trophies for this snap

Head coach Jürgen Klopp - "Now I've got seven weeks to let it all sink in."

Sebastian Kehl with his girlfriend Tina and the DFB Cup

Midfielder Moritz Leitner brought along his girlfriend Lisa to the post-match party

Happy man: Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke took a solitary stroll around the pitch at the Olympiastadion after the cup handover, savouring the moment

"Today's a day for the most beautiful colours in the world to light up - yellow and black", Watzke said at the festivities in the former techno institution

"It's just indescribable. You need to have experienced it for yourself", said Kevin Großkreutz (l.), who brought a few mates along for the occasion

Injured defender Patrick Owomoyela and his girlfriend outside the entrance to the E-Werk

Full back Marcel Schmelzer turned up with a charming companion as well

Thank : Bundesliga
